Overview
Coasys was developing an ecosystem of decentralized tools for data, community, coordination and collective intelligence. The website had to explain both the individual technologies and the larger idea connecting them to a community that already included users, contributors and supporters.
I joined an existing but incomplete website direction and first worked through the responsive system that was missing. That grew into a broader redesign as the products and the way Coasys described them continued to evolve.
Role & Scope
I worked on responsive web design, the visual system, reusable Figma components, page structure and content development.
I turned repeated parts of the unfinished design into a shared component library, designed desktop and responsive states, and worked with the team to restructure and expand the site as the different Coasys tools became more defined. The resulting Figma system and page designs were then prepared for implementation by the development team.
What I Built
A large part of the project was making several connected technologies feel like parts of one system without flattening their differences.
Coasys often described technology through ideas drawn from living systems — cells, membranes, networks, emergence and collective organisms. The visual language developed around that same tension: organic forms and interconnected structures paired with more precise diagrams, interface elements and modular layouts.
The result was a website system that could move between conceptual explanation, individual products and actual interface examples while retaining one recognizable identity.
Design System + Handoff

I inherited a design direction without a complete responsive system or reusable component library. I first worked through how the existing interface should behave across screen sizes, then converted repeated patterns into reusable Figma components that could remain consistent as the website expanded.
The design work developed alongside the content. As the team clarified the different technologies, I worked through page hierarchy, new sections and expanded copy so the website could communicate increasingly complicated ideas without becoming a collection of disconnected product pages.
Project State
The redesigned site became the public presentation layer for a much larger technology ecosystem and community. Coasys has continued evolving its products, messaging and website since my time working on the project, while the live site still reflects the responsive, interconnected design language the work developed around.
The project reinforced something I keep returning to in web design: sometimes the hardest part is not drawing the interface. It is finding a structure that makes a complicated system possible to enter.
